What the numbers mean for a buyer (derived from specs only)
- Long pieces. The S1 states AutoPassthrough and a 470 × 3000 mm conveyor-feeder area; Creality's fetched pages do not mention a passthrough for the Falcon2 Pro. Check your piece on the work-area calculator.
- Square vs. wide bed. 498 × 319 vs 400 × 400: a 400 × 400 piece fits only the Falcon2 Pro; a 480 × 300 piece fits only the S1.
- Alignment. Creality states a built-in camera; xTool describes a non-camera positioning method. A camera is a convenience spec, not a quality spec.
- Power tiers. Only the Falcon2 Pro lists a 60 W tier in this form factor.
- Speed. The S1 states 600 mm/s; Creality states no figure for the Falcon2 Pro on the fetched pages, so no comparison is made.
We make no claim about cut depth, edge quality or real-world speed for either machine.
Who should pick which (by scenario, spec-based)
| Scenario | Spec that decides | Points to |
|---|---|---|
| Signs or boards longer than the bed | Stated passthrough / conveyor | S1 |
| Square panels up to 400 mm | Y-axis depth | Falcon2 Pro |
| Higher optical power in this pair | 60 W variant | Falcon2 Pro |
| Camera-based placement wanted | Stated camera | Falcon2 Pro |
| Named rotary accessory on the product page | "RA2 Pro" | S1 |
| Speed-based decision | Not possible: Creality figure not stated | — |
Questions
Are both Class 1?
Both manufacturers state Class 1 for the enclosed product as sold (quotes above). We do not verify certifications.
Which has the larger work area?
By area: S1 ≈ 158,862 mm² vs Falcon2 Pro 160,000 mm² — within 1 % of each other (our arithmetic). Shape matters more than area.
Do both work with LightBurn?
Both manufacturers name LightBurn; xTool limits it to "basic operations" and adds that it "may not provide c[omplete support]" for some functions.
