Corrections Policy

Every number on EngraveIndex comes from a manufacturer page, with the source and the date we read it. We do not test products. If a value is wrong or out of date, we want to fix it and show what changed.

What to report

Useful reports include a specification that differs from the manufacturer’s current page, a broken or misdirected source link, a wrong unit conversion, an outdated product status, a missing affiliate disclosure, or a claim that is not supported by its source. Please include the page URL, the passage, and a link to the manufacturer page that shows the correct value.

How we review a report

We re-read the cited manufacturer page and any newer manufacturer documentation. A report is not accepted or rejected because of who sent it; the question is only whether the published value matches what the manufacturer states.

What happens after confirmation

Confirmed errors are corrected as soon as practical. The changed value gets a new access date, and the change is listed below with the old value, the new value and the source. Spelling, formatting and accessibility fixes that do not change any value may be made without a log entry.

Contact

A contact page for corrections is coming soon; until then, every value links to the manufacturer page it came from, so you can check it there. See also our Methodology.
